KESR BTH Bo-Bo DE No. 40 at Rolvenden on the Kent and East Sussex Railway. The first of three diesel electric locomotives built by British Thompson Houston in 1932 for use in Ford's new Dagenham Works. At the time these locomotives were unique to Britain, and created considerable interest.
