Class 313 3 Car EMU No. 313051 is seen at Welwyn Garden City mid afternoon on 4th April 1984 about to depart for Moorgate, London along with another unidentified member of the class. Built by BREL York Works in 1976-1977 these 3 Car EMU's are now the oldest in regular service in Britain and are not scheduled to be replaced by Class 717's until 2018 ensuring that No. 313051 will complete 40 years services on the same London Commuter route, while being allocated to just one depot, Hornsey EMD.
