During a break in the rain on 3rd September 2016, an immaculate looking 4 plank wagon stands in the middle of a demonstration freight train at Glyndyfrdwy station. This wagon is noteworthy as it had recently been repainted to carry the livery of Pryce Hughes Coal Merchants who were based in Glyndyfrdwy adding a local feel to the train. The event was the railways Autumn 2016 gala.
