Class 25 No. 25283 heads an engineers train past Arpley Junction signal box at Warrington on 1st 3rd September 1983. Later to become No. 25904, the locomotive was one of the last of the class in service, active until March 1987, when withdrawal was followed by a move into preservation on the Severn Valley Railway.
