A close up of the nameplate of Class 57/3 No. 57307 'Thunderbirds Lady Penelope' and International Rescue badge taken in Crewe Station on 1st September 2008. All 16 Virgin Trains Class 57/3 locomotives were named after characters from the childrens Thunderbirds TV series but 'Lady Penelope' was unique in having a pink painted background rather than the normal black one. Nowadays to be found operating with Direct Rail Services No. 57307 still proudly carries this nameplate on her dark blue bodyside.
