In standard Dubai RTA livery Alstrom Citadis 402 tram No. 003 is seen midway between Dubai Marina Mall and Dubai Marina Tram Stations on 25th May 2015. The overhead walkway which provides access to the Tram Station can be seen to the left of the image. This air conditioned walkway with lifts, escalators and travelotors continues over the 14 lane Sheikh Zayed Road which links Dubai with Abu Dhabi, to serve the Dubai Marina Metro Station seen to the right of the tram, providing step free access to both forms of transport. The centre rail which provides the power for the trams is laid in short insulated sections and is only energised by a tram as it approaches making it suitable for street running as well on dedicated tracks as seen here.
