Class 26 No. 26041 is stabled among several spare DMU vehicles on 24th July 1986 at Ayr MPD. Delivered to Haymarket Shed, Edinburgh during September 1959 as type 2 No. D5341 she is pictured in her final Railfreight grey with yellow cabs, black window surrounds and red solebar livery. Withdrawn from Inverness MPD in November 1992 No. 26041 was eventually scrapped by M C Metals at their premises alongside Glasgow Works during March 1995.
