In the early hours of the 20th October 2015, Network Rail MPVs No. 98958 and No. 98908 sit in the bay platform at Wellington Station while working the 04:19 Kings Norton Ot Plant Depot to King Norton Ot Plant Depot. While the bay platform used to see regular use, since the termination of the Walsall to Wellington local service it is very unusual to see this platform being used.
