Class 56 No. 56032 is seen passing Acton and heading out of the capital with an empty rake of 'Tarmac' hoppers on 25th June 1988. At that time, there was a direct link to the Western Region main line from the West London line so routing via Acton Wells, down the incline on the left of the picture was not necessary.
