The High Fell Country on the S&C deservedly gets most of the attention but in sharp contrast to the stark upland scenery the Eden Valley north of Lazonby is every bit as scenic as seen in the view of LMS Princess Coronation Class No. 46229 Duchess of Hamilton coasting round the curve north of Armathwaite Viaduct on a Down 'Cumbrian Mountain Express' in the Summer of 1985.
