On 6th May 2004 Class 390 Pendolino No. 390032 'City of Birmingham' approaches Crewe with a service for London Euston. Here consisting of 9 vehicles, 11 years later she is still employed on WCML service for Virgin Trains as 'City of Birmingham' although now formed as an 11 coach Class 390/1 Pendolino No. 390132.
