Cross Country Class 220 Voyager No. 220021 comes off the NS Line at Norton Bridge on 13.07 Manchester Piccadilly-BristolTM on 27th May 2015.Adjacent to the 1st/2nd vehicles can be seen the Swithch Diamond trackwork. In the resignalling scheme carried out in 1960 this was operated pneumatically from the adjacent Norton Bridge Power SB and gave years of trouble free operation but Railtrack in their wisdom converted it to electrical operation a few years ago and since then it has been a continual source of trouble with subsequent delays. Thankfully the whole layout will be eliminated on completion of the NS Line Flyover.
