Built by English Electric Vulcan Foundry as BR No. D394 and entering service on 13th June 1962, Class 40 Type 4 No. 40194 is pictured at Derby circa April 1984. The locomotive was withdrawn on 23rd January 1985 and scrapped at BREL Doncaster on 24th May 1985.
