City of Stoke on Trent nameplate has graced the railway scene for many years. Firstly on Princess Coronation Class No. 46254 and at present on Virgin Class 390 Pendolino No. 390029. In the intermediate period it remained a familiar sight on the WCML as seen here on Virgin Class 86 No. 86208 at Stafford on 1st September 1997
