For a short period in the summer of 1997 trials were run to test the feasibility of a return to rail of Milk Traffic and a Road Milk Trailer was conveyed using a pair of DRS Class 20's. Nos. 20304 and 20303 head the 'Milkliner' 6Z53 Penrith-Cricklewood at Hatton Mill on 8th July 1997.
