BR Standard Pacific 71000 Duke of Gloucester, devoid of its unique cylinders, awaits the cutters torch at Woodham Bros., Barry on 13th July 1968. Fortunately, the loco was saved for preservation in 1976 and has since had several periods of main line operation although is currently under restoration.
