One of the last former DR 'Flying Pigs' in service with the DB, still in DR red livery, DVT No. 972 745 in Rottleberode on the Berga-Kelbra to Stolberg (Harz) line on 17th May 1996, with a Berga-Kelbra service. Sadly all passenger services have since ended on the line, but it is still open to Rottleberode for freight to and from the Knauf Deutsche Gipswerke and a wood yard there.
