A RENFE Class 130 Talgo-250 train is pictured arriving at its destination at the terminus station of Barcelona Estacio de Franca on Monday 10th November 2014 with an unidentified service. These eleven coach Alvia high speed trains operating in Spain by Renfe Operadora (RENFE) for long distance services have a top speed of 250 kilometres per hour. The locomotives at each end of the train are of dual voltage (25kV ac overhead and 3kV dc) and dual gauged (1435mm standard/1668mm Iberian) and consist of Talgo VII tilting carriages. As these train sets have the ability to use both Iberian gauge and standard gauge, it allows them to be utilised on the recently constructed high-speed routes for part of the journey as well as swithching without stopping but at a low speed to the Iberian gauge network when necessary.
