Thankfully the S&C has since seen a considerable improvement to the rundown state of the track that prevailed in 1993 as Large Logo Class 47 No. 47513 heads north through Settle Station on a diverted 6.15 Euston-Glasgow on 24th April 1993. Note the closed SettleSB still in its original position. It is now preserved by the FOSCL in the yard adjacent to the Up Platform.
