Saturday 2nd April 1978 finds Class 25/2 No. 25108 stabled on Mothwell MPD. Built at BR Derby Works as Type 2 No. D5258 it entered service from Toton MPD in March 1964. Transfers saw the loco move to the Nottingham, Leicester, Stoke and Liverpool Divisions before renumbering under TOPS as a Class 25/2 No. 25108 in March 1974 while allocated to Tinsley MPD. Its final transfer would be to Scotland allocated to Eastfield MPD, Glasgow where she arrived during July 1975. Withdrawn from Eastfield in July 1980, it was officially scrapped at Glasgow Works during December 1980 although substantial parts of the bodywork were used as a shed until finally being cut up in November 1988.
