Diesel shunter Class 08 No. 08899, in crimson lake livery and named 'Midland Counties Railway 175 1839-2014' visited the Nene Valley Railway for their Diesel Gala courtesy of Derby Etches Park and supporting the Railway Childrens charity, and is seen at Wansford on 28th September 2014. No. 08899 was used on shuttle trains between Wansford and Yarwell.
