Earthworks are now well under way on the Norton Bridge Diversion Scheme to form a Flyover over the WCML north of the previous station site to permit trains to and from the North Staffs line to avoid the present flat junction which causes endless delays to the main WCML trains to and from Crewe.
Work has commenced from the south end and the earthworks for the initial stage at Little Bridgeford adjacent to the Meece Brook are evident on 30th August 2014.
