For some strange reason, the main entrance hall at Cite du Train, Mulhouse (the Frnch equivalent of the NRM) is kept in almost complete darkness - some of the exhibits only being lit by an almost eerie purple lighting. Here SNCF 4-8-2 No. 241.A.1 is seen on 12th April 2014. The locomotive was built at the Epernay workshops in 1925 (Works No. 904).
