Birmingham RC &W Class 27s Nos. D5390 & D5399 await the road at Water Orton on 3rd January 1969 while en route back to their home Division, namely Nottingham (D16). Later that same year D5390 was reallocated to Eastfield (65A) and was to spend the rest of its career there. The loco was withdrawn in February 1987 and broken up at Vic Berrys of Leicester in September same year.
