Class 60 No. 60059 'Swinden Dalesman' is shown at the Crewe Basford Hall Yard open day held on Sunday 27th August 1995 in the new Loadhaul orange and black livery alongside similar-liveried Class 37/5 No. 37517. New to Thornaby TMD in July 1991 No. 60059 was named 'Swinden Dalesman', a name she still carries today, on June 20th 1995. An excellent recent photo of No. 60059, in DB red livery with Schenker branding, can be found on the front cover of Railway Herald issue 410 published on May 28th 2014. Class 37/5 No. 37517 was delivered to Stratford MPD back in June 1961 as Type 3 No. D6718 becoming Class 37/0 No. 37018 under TOPS in the 1970's and converted to Class 37/5 No. 37517 in April 1987. Withdrawn from use in January 2008 she is currently approaching 53 years of age and in store with WCRC at their Carnforth depot.
