The Spring Diesel Gala at the Nene Valley Railway was to benefit the Teenage Cancer Trust with all proceeds going to this very worthy charity. With the sad news earlier in the week that the extremely brave young man, Stephen Sutton who has so far raised in excess of £3 million for this charity has lost his battle and has died peacefully in his sleep at the age of 19, this gala is now being dedicated to his memory and to his family and friends. Class 60 No. 60074 Teenage Spirit, a static exhibit on Friday 16th May is seen in the yard at Wansford.
