Friday 10th May 1985 finds Class 47/4 No. 47469 'Glasgow Chamber of Commerce' in Glasgow Queen Street Station waiting to ascend Cowlairs Bank and return to her home Depot of Eastfield MPD for servicing. New as No. D1595 in June 1964 to Cardiff Canton, she would spent almost 10 years allocated to Western Region Depots before being transferred to the Scottish Region in February 1974 as Class 47/4 No. 47469 following ETH conversion and renumbering. Initially allocated to Haymarket further transfers would take her to Eastfield and finally Inverness Depots. On 3rd March 1983 while an Eastfield loco No. 47469 was named 'Glasgow Chamber of Commerce', a name she would carry until her withdrawal from Inverness MPD in March 1989. Following withdrawal the nameplates were removed during a short stay at Glasgow Works before her disposal by MC Metals during November 1989. One of her cabside worksplates has been removed in this picture, I wonder if it has survived?
