As the last of the winter snow clings to the distant hillsides as ex LMS 4-6-0 Jubilee No. 5593 Kolhapur pauses at Garsdale for a water and photo stop during the S.L.O.A. Cumbrian Mountain Express railtour from London to Carlisle and return which was steam hauled over the Settle to Carlisle line from Leeds on 21st March 1987. A scene that would not be allowed on today's railway with detrained passengers on the running lines under the watchful eye of the British Transport Police.
