The former MR electric line between Lancaster, Morecambe and Heysham was converted to form the prototype for the AC electrication familiar to us today and some former ex LNWR electric sets were converted to 6.25KV AC power supply. In the interim while conversion was been undertaken the service was provided by a steam Push and Pull Service. LMS 0-4-4T No. 41900 leaves Lancaster Green Ayre Station on such a service and crosses the River Lune on Skerton Bridge which has since been converted to road use following the abandonment of the rail direct rail route between Lancaster, Morecambe and Heysham
