Class 20/9 No. 20906 'Kilmarnock 400' is stabled outside the Hunslet-Barclay Depot in Kilmarnock Ayrshire on Monday 27th July 1992. New to Haymarket MPD Edinburgh as No. D8319 in January 1968 she would remain in Scotland, in the 1970s becoming Class 20 No. 20219 under TOPS, operating coal trains in either the Fife or Ayrshire coalfields until the mid 1980s when transferred to Toton TMD. Withdrawn during 1988 she was sold to Hunslet-Barclay, along with 6 other Class 20s, to operate the Weed Control Trains over the BR Network. From the 30th September 1989 to 6th May 1992 No. 20906 was named 'Georgina' but on 22nd June 1992 was renamed 'Kilmarnock 400' to celebrate the 400th anniversary of the town, and does appear to have left the Depot since the ceremony. She carried this name until the 30th September 1998 when sold to DRS. In February 2005 No. 20906 was sold again, this time to HNRC and in April 2014 she is still in service with them operating as No. 3 at the LaFarge Cement Works in Derbyshire in a white livery.
