Class 56 No. 56031 runs on to Ipswich stabling point for fuel on 29th November 1997 before working a Coatbridge to Felixstowe intermodal forward from Ipswich Yard. The '56' has lost its 'Merehead' nameplates which were transferred to 37051. The first of the batch built at Doncaster Works, it entered traffic on 24th May 1977, and moved to the EWS French operations pool, finding use on a contract with Fertis, on 28th June 2005. It is currently stored at Leicester.
