Class 08 No. 08642 at Ipswich on 6th June 1999 with 08593 in the background. No. 08642 carries its original number of No. D3809 and was new to 82B St Phillips Marsh, Bristol, on 23rd January 1959. The locomotive was taken out of use after a derailment in August 1999 at Felixstowe, and after being stripped of useful parts at Leeds Midland Road, was finally withdrawn in May 2006, before being cut up at C.F.Booth, Rotherham in June 2008.
