Class 25/2 No. 25210 had been scrapped at Doncaster Works during March 1986 but one of the cabs lingered on until July 1986 as seen in this photo taken on Sunday 11th May 1986. New as No. D7560 during September 1965 all of her near 20 years working life had been spent working from London Midland depots prior to withdrawal from Crewe TMD in April 1985. The other 2 cabs belonged to Class 25/2 No. 25237 which had been scrapped earlier in May at Doncaster Works. She had been built at Darlington Works in March 1964 as No. D7587 to the earlier cab design and managed 21 years in service, most of them on the London Midland region but from 1974 to 1982 north of the border in Scotland. Withdrawal had also been from Crewe TMD but in June 1985. The cabs survived a few more months at Doncaster Works being disposed of by September 1986.
