Originally built for the Raipur Dhamtari and Rajim branch by Nasmyth Wilson & Co in 1929 (Works No. 1564) this locomotive was absorbed into the Bengal Nagpur fleet and then the South Eastern Railway area of Indian Railways. RD class 2-6-2 No. 688 is pictured at NRM, Delhi on 21st February 2014.
