Class 37/7 Nos. 37893 and 37716 depart Ipswich yard on 22nd February 2000 at 13:40 with empty MEA's for Stud Farm. The 37's brought in stone for Tarmac to Ipswich Lower Yard which was moved onward by lorry to the Tarmac facility in the West Dock. This was the first of three such trains. No. 37893 was new to traffic as D6937 to 86A Canton on 13th May 1964 and under TOPS became 37237 in September 1974 before conversion to 37893 on 2nd October 1987. The 37 left the UK for Italy on 20th July 2001 from where it returned on 7th March 2003 and was withdrawn in November 2009 and scrapped at Ron Hull, Rotherham in April 2012.
