Freightliner Class 66/6 No. 66616 passes Drakelow East Curve Junction, Burton-on-Trent on Thursday 6th March 2014 with the 11:08 Bardon Hill Quarry to Tyne Yard, which comprised of IOA-type ballast box wagons loaded with aggregates. This new working, which commenced on 3rd March 2014 is the only booked freight train on this section of the Leicester to Burton freight route but the train can for operation reasons be routed via Leicester instead of via Burton.
