Class 47/7 No. 47778 Irresistible at Ipswich on thunderbird duty on 21st September 2001.New as D1666 at 87E Landore on 5th March 1965 after being built at Crewe and was named ODIN a week later.Under TOPS became 47081 on 23rd February 1974 before becoming 47606 on 22nd February 1984.The duff carried 47842 from 22nd February 1990 until 26th March 1993 when it reverted back to 47606.The 47 was converted to 47/7 and renumbered to 47778 on 25th November 1993 and moved to CRDC, Wigan on 27th February 2004 before moving to EMR Kingsbury on 11th November 2005, the last Class 47 to leave CRDC.Cutting up was not completed until 4th April 2006.
