The present Metrolink Rochdale Line immediately to the north of the temporary Oldham Mumps Tramstop crosses a major busy road intersection being negotiated by Metrolink Trams Nos. 3033 and 3033 on a Rochdale bound service on 13th January 2014 before it ascends the steep section to Derker.
All will change on 26th January 2014 when the new revised route through Oldhan Town Centre is due to open. The track of the new route can be glimpsed to the left of Tram No. 3023 and the front of Tram No. 3033 is on the trailing point from the new route to the existing.
