Class 40 No. 40163 stabled by the clock at the city end of Eastfield MPD, Glasgow on 29th March 1976. Delivered as D363 in October 1961 much of its working was spent in Scotland allocated to Haymarket MPD, Edinburgh. Renumbering to 40163 occurred during December 1973, although withdrawal was from Longsight Depot, Manchester during June 1982. Scrapping took place at Vic Berrys yard at Leicester in January 1987.
