Metrolink M5000 Series trams 3028 & 3036 arrive at Navigation Road, Altrincham bound for Manchester Piccadilly on Monday 30th December 2013.
The massive overhead which supported the original MSJ&AR 1500V dc electrification before its conversion to 25kV ac, now merely takes the strain of the 750V dc of Manchester's Metrolink which uses the right hand of the parallel lines at this point.
