Class 89 No. 89001 stabled at Doncaster on 11th March 1990. Taken into stock at Derby Technical Centre on 1st December 1986, after building at Crewe, and was taken out of use in January 2001 and stored at Doncaster. It was loaned to the A.C. Loco Group and moved to Barrow Hill on 17th December 2004 and appeared at several Open Days afterwards.
