Class 47/3 No. 47309 European Rail Operator of the Year (at the time the only Class 47/3 still in service) at Ipswich approaching the yard with a liner from Felixstowe on 6th May 2002 at 13:20.The 47 started life as D1790 on 10th December 1964 at Tinsley (41A) and was renumbered to 47389 from 23rd May 1994 to 28th July 1995.The duff was withdrawn on 19th January 2006 at Southampton Maritime and was cut up at T.J. Thompson of Stockton-on-Tees in February 2009.
