Class 03 No. 03144 (D2144) stabled at Llanelli on Sunday the 24th March 1985. Some of the class including 03144 was rebuilt with a cut down cab to allow it to work on the Burry Port and Gwendraeth Valley line which had a number of low bridges. No. 03144 was withdrawn in February 1986 and has been preserved as MoD2144 at Wensleydale Railway.
