Class 47/7 No. 47709 'Dionysos' at Ipswich with Very Special Trains, Poole - Norwich charter on 10th July 2004. Class 47/0 No. 47145 was on the rear of the working. New as No. D1942 on 16th June 1966 at London Midland Western Lines, under TOPS it became No. 47499 on 1st February 1974 before conversion to a Class 47/7 for use on ScotRail services on 7th August 1979. It was sold to Waterman Railways in May 1994 then on to Fragonset on 24th January 1997 and finally to DRS. The duff was withdrawn in August 2012 and cut up at Eastleigh Works on 12th September 2012.
