An unusual sight at Barrow-on-Trent on 8th October 2013 was East Midlands Trains Meridian DMU Class 222 No. 222022, which had been diverted onto the normally freight only Castle Donington branch due to a short term points failure at Sheet Stores Junction. No. 222022 was on the 14:25 St. Pancras to Sheffield service, and despite the diversion and having to reverse at Stenson the train subsequently left Derby only 11 minutes late.
