English Electric Diesel Prototype 1 (DP1) 'Deltic', the forerunner to the BR Class 55 locomotives, currently on loan from the National Collection to the Ribble Steam Railway, stands next to Preston Riverside station along with three maroon Mark I coaches, reminiscent of the test trains it operated over the Settle & Carlisle route in the mid-1950's, during an Andrew Fowler photo charter on 5th October 2013.
