BR Standard Pacific No. 70048 takes on water at Crewe South Depot on 15th August 1965. The space where the large nameplate "The Territorial Army 1908 - 1958" was fitted can be seen on the smoke deflector. At the time No. 70048 was based at Carlisle Upperby, and was withdrawn from its final Depot Carlisle Kingmoor in May 1967.
