Class 47/7 No. 47761 heads an ECS working through Ipswich on 3rd January 2001. The train, the 09:40 Norwich - Liverpool Street, had been declared a failure at Stowmarket. The '47' entered traffic as No. D1619 on 12th September 1964 and under TOPS became No. 47038 in February 1974. It was converted to No. 47564 in July 1980 and finally to No. 47761 on 2nd March 1994. Having been stored at Cardiff Canton on 7th November 2003, it is now at the Midland Railway Centre.
