Metrolink M5000 unit No. 3045 passes the unconnected junction to Metrolink Phase 3b in Oldham, close to the site of the former Werneth heavy rail station.
The diversionary route through the town centre will result in the closure of the present route through Oldham Mumps which follows that old L&Y/LMS/BR route.
