English Electric Class 37 No. D6836 has recently been been repainted at the Nemesis Rail Depot at Burton-on-Trent into the BR green livery that it carried when first outshopped from Vulcan Foundry at Newton-le-Willows in 1963. The locomotive, resplendent in its new guise, is pictured securely chained on the 22 axle trailer of an Allelys Heavy Haulage road vehicle on the southbound carriageway of the A38 Burton-on-Trent bypass road as it leaves the town en-route to the Mid Hants Railway on Thursday 25th April 2013. This 50-year-old locomotive has also during its lifetime carried TOPS numbers of No. 37136 and No. 37905 and named 'Vulcan Enterprise'.
